In a bizarre turn of events, the Ghana Police Service has apprehended nine individuals across the nation for disseminating false information regarding the alleged disappearance of their genitals, sparking widespread fear and panic among the public and inciting attacks on innocent individuals.
According to a statement released by the Police, thorough investigations, including medical examinations, have unequivocally revealed that all claims of missing genitals were baseless and untrue.
The arrests include six individuals in Kasoa, Central Region, two in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region, and one in Nkawkaw, Eastern Region, all of whom propagated false assertions about the vanishing of their private parts.
Of the nine suspects, five have already been brought before the court, with three remanded into Police Custody while two have been granted bail. The remaining suspects are currently on Police inquiry bail and are expected to face legal proceedings imminently.
Expressing grave concern over the escalating trend of individuals fabricating stories about the disappearance of their genitals and falsely accusing innocent bystanders, the Ghana Police Service issued a stern warning to the public against engaging in such criminal conduct, emphasizing the potential harm it poses to both innocent individuals and public order.
