NIA Rolls Out New Registration Fees Effective May 1, 2024

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced a significant update regarding the fees for its registration services, set to take effect from May 1, 2024. In line with the provisions outlined in the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations, 2023, (L.I. 2481)), the NIA has decided to adjust its fees to better reflect the current economic landscape.

Citizens across Ghana who intend to acquire national identification cards (commonly known as Ghana cards) or need to update their existing information are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the forthcoming changes. The revised fees are aimed at ensuring sustainability and efficiency in the delivery of registration services.

The NIA has released a statement detailing the new fee structure, providing transparency and clarity to the public. It is imperative for all stakeholders, including individuals and organizations, to take note of these adjustments to avoid any inconvenience during the registration process.

As the NIA continues its mandate of providing reliable and secure national identification services, it remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. The implementation of revised registration fees is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery and meet the evolving needs of the Ghanaian populace.

In light of these changes, citizens are encouraged to stay informed and prepared for the updated fee structure, which will come into effect on May 1, 2024. By staying proactive and informed, individuals can ensure a smooth and efficient registration process while obtaining their Ghana cards or updating their information.

The NIA reaffirms its dedication to serving the nation with excellence and looks forward to the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in this endeavor.
