Education Ministry seeks financial clearance to recruit unposted teachers - Rev. Ntim Fordjour

In a bid to address the concerns of unemployed teachers awaiting placement, the Deputy Minister of Education, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has announced the Ministry's initiative to obtain financial clearance for teacher deployment following the successful completion of licensure exams.

Amidst the backdrop of uncertainty among qualified teachers awaiting placement, Rev Fordjour reassured stakeholders of the government's commitment to ensuring the employment of deserving candidates. Speaking to journalists during the monitoring of the teacher licensure examination in Accra, he emphasized the Ministry's efforts to secure financial clearance for the posting of qualified teachers to various schools and communities across the nation.

"We wish everyone the very best, and we assure them that we are seeking financial clearance to post as many qualified candidates as possible to schools and communities where their services are most needed," Rev Fordjour affirmed.

Furthermore, he underscored the government's unwavering support for the licensure examination, highlighting its pivotal role in upholding the professional standards of educators and elevating the quality of teaching in the country. "For the past six years, the teacher licensure examination has played a crucial role in enhancing the standards of teaching and improving outcomes in our education sector," Rev Fordjour stated.

The licensure examination serves as a benchmark for assessing the competency and proficiency of aspiring teachers, ensuring that only qualified individuals are deployed to educate the nation's learners. By upholding rigorous standards and promoting excellence in teaching, the government aims to enhance the overall quality of education and foster the holistic development of students.

As the Ministry of Education endeavors to obtain financial clearance for the deployment of unposted teachers, stakeholders are encouraged to remain optimistic about the prospects of securing employment opportunities. Through collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives, the government remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the professional growth and advancement of educators across the country.
