In a heartbreaking incident, a police escort motorbike rider, Sergeant Frempah Bismark, tragically lost his life following a collision with a vehicle in Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East Region.
Sergeant Frempah Bismark, known for his role as the police escort rider for former President John Agyekum Kufuor, was en route to meet a musician for a show on Thursday evening when the accident occurred. Windy and dusty weather conditions impaired his vision, leading him to lose control of his motorbike, registered AS 8297-22, and collide with an oncoming vehicle.
Originally from Tuobodom in the Techiman North district, Sergeant Frempah had a distinguished career. He was previously stationed at the Ministry of the Interior and had studied Law of Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Police Ethics at the National Police Training School. He was also an alumnus of Tsito Secondary Technical School (TSTS).
This tragic event underscores the dangers faced by those who serve in critical and often hazardous roles. Sergeant Frempah’s untimely death is a significant loss to his community and colleagues. His dedication and service are remembered with respect and honor.
