During his first-ever Afrobeats performance at the Grammys on Sunday, February 4, Nigerian Afrobeats musician Burna Boy put on an incredible show.
Rapper 21 Savage and Grammy-winning R&B legend Brandy provided support for the captivating tune "Sittin' on Top of the World," which the Nigerian musician used to captivate the crowd.
Despite losing in all four of his nominations, his incredible performance propelled him to the sixth place in Billboard's Grammy performance rankings.
Burna Boy went all out for his first Afrobeats performance at the Grammy Awards, according to Billboard.
Billboard claims that Burna Boy's contagious enthusiasm and effortless charm would fit right in with a Hollywood musical.
The worldwide journal also praised the three performers' stage and costume designs, saying that their “disparate styles brought to mind an MGM golden era musical.”
Despite receiving four nominations, Burna Boy did not receive a prize, but his performance cemented his status as a major force in the world of music.
